A Festival Honoring Local Craftsmen in Hondón de las Nieves
Get ready for a weekend of culture, craftsmanship, and community spirit as the Hondón de las Nieves Arts and Crafts Fair returns for its tenth edition on August 8 and 9.
This beloved regional tradition, organised by Amata and the Town Council, promises to be a family-friendly event that reflects the spirit of connection and craftsmanship. Calle San Juan will be transformed into a vibrant market, hosting approximately twenty stalls showcasing a variety of original and thoughtfully crafted items.
From ceramics and leather to jewelry, watercolors, and natural cosmetics, each item is a testament to the skill and artistry of the local artisans. The Artesanía de Autor seal ensures that every item is made and sold by the artisans themselves, making each purchase a unique and personal experience.
The fair is not just a market, but also an educational and cultural gathering. Visitors can participate in interactive workshops, learning the art of pottery, recycled paper making, and creating decorative items like pumpkin lamps and fish figures.
For the younger visitors, there will be storytelling sessions, puppet shows, children's workshops, and live craft demonstrations like bronze ring making and paper recycling. The fair cultivates an atmosphere of warmth and festivity, with the grand finale featuring the traditional correfocs - a fire run that lights up the night.
The Arts and Crafts Fair in Hondón de las Nieves is more than just a shopping experience. It's a chance to immerse yourself in local culture, learn new skills, and support local artisans. So mark your calendars and join us on August 8 and 9, from 7pm to midnight, for a weekend of art, culture, and community.
Experience a diverse range of exhibits, including lifestyle, fashion-and-beauty, home-and-garden, and entertainment, all showcased by local artisans at the Hondón de las Nieves Arts and Crafts Fair. The fair serves as an engaging platform not only for shopping, but also for learning new skills and immersing oneself in local culture, with workshops and live demonstrations available for all ages.
