The Kamchatka Regional Art Museum is currently hosting an extraordinary exhibition-contest titled "Favorite Heroes of Literary Works". This unique event, which runs until March 9, features over 200 artworks created by 370 children and teenagers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the region's districts.

The artworks, inspired by Russian folk tales and children's literary works, showcase a diverse range of characters from beloved stories. Visitors can marvel at Pushkin's scholarly cat with a mermaid, a silver-hoofed deer from Pavel Bazhov's Ural tales, and even a human-sized Kuth. Popular characters like Winnie the Pooh and Karlsson also make an appearance.

Several Cheburashkas and heroes of Russian epic poetry are also on display, adding to the rich tapestry of literary heroes. Among the unique pieces is a creation featuring a kitten named Gav.

It's important to note that this exhibition is a one-time event, making it a must-see for art and literature enthusiasts. The competition for the exhibition-contest is not open for entries from outside of the Kamchatka region.

The competition is being organized by the Kamchatka Regional Art Museum and will be determined by a jury of specialists and educators. The winners of the competition will be selected based on their creativity and interpretation of the literary heroes, not by public voting.

The competition has nominations in three age categories: 7-9, 10-13, and 14-18 years old. However, the names of the prize winners are not currently available in the search results.

The exhibition is not a recurring event and can only be visited in person. It's a great opportunity to support the artistic talents of the region's youth and immerse oneself in the magical world of literature. So, don't miss out on this enchanting exhibition at the Kamchatka Regional Art Museum!
