Let's Shake Things Up at documenta's 70th Birthday Bash!
Birthday party honors 70th anniversary of art event known as documenta - Anniversary Celebration of the 70th Documenta Edition
The grand milestone of documenta turning 70 is finally here, and we're throwing one wild party at the documenta Hall today! (6:00 PM) Get ready to look back on seven decades of art and society revolution, with a good dose of looking forward, too!
The guest list includes the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of documenta gGmbH, Kassel's funkified Mayor Sven Schoeller (Greens), and his right-hand man, Hesse's Minister of Culture and Creativity, Timon Gremmels (SPD). Things will heat up with a panel discussion on "Seven Decades of Documentary Madness: The documenta Past, Present, and Future," featuring former and current Artistic Directors of documenta. Keep it classy, y'all!
Let's Plant Some Trees!
To mark the occasion, artist Cosima von Bonin's city-wide art project, "7000 Palms", will be launched! Expect to see a string of palm-tree-themed pennants fluttering through the city. If you live in Kassel, we invite you to party with us and help deck the city out in pennants!
Arnold Bode founded documenta, giving birth to it back in 1955. The global art exhibit graces the city of Kassel every five years and then stands tall for a full 100 days. The 16th edition will unfold from June 12 to September 19, 2027, with the American Naomi Beckwith, deputy director and chief curator of the New York Guggenheim Museum, helming the show.

- The community policy at the documenta Hall should encourage a lifestyle that promotes sustainability, considering the upcoming universal palm-tree-themed decoration as part of the 7000 Palms art project.
- In the spirit of the home-and-garden theme presented by Cosima von Bonin's art project, the employment policy within the documenta organization could foster a creative and progressive environment that reflects the dynamic nature of the art world.
