On May 24, 2025, families in Chemnitz are invited to a free, action-packed day at the Charlie Children's Festival. Stretching from 10 am to 6 pm, the downtown area will be transformed into a lively hotspot of activities designed for children's imagination, well-being, and enjoyment.

This year's festival offers numerous engaging attractions. Some of the new highlights include the Blue Light Mile by the Chemnitz Police Headquarters, featuring demonstrations by police dogs, exhibits of vintage vehicles, and interactive craft activities focused on safety careers. The "Try Something New!" job and career fair aims to introduce young people to regional career paths, while the children's kitchen on Düsseldorf Square encourages children to discover new foods, with proceeds from asparagus sales supporting an association for children with cancer and their families.

In addition to the Blue Light Mile, families can enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, balloon art, craft streets, and sporting activities such as bungee trampolining and archery. The Bastelstation des Elternvereins krebskranker Kinder Chemnitz e.V. offers opportunities for children to create jute bags and ceramics, with proceeds supporting the organization.

This year's festival aims to provide an unforgettable day filled with joy, activity, and creativity for children in Chemnitz and beyond, reinforcing the city's commitment to community engagement and family entertainment.
