Arrival of Sea Dome website in Quebec has been confirmed
The Sea Dome, an immersive oceanic adventure supported by Waves of Change, has arrived in Quebec and is set to visit various communities across the province this summer. The initiative, which aims to inspire action among youth to combat climate change, is a collaborative effort between Sea Dome, GreenLearning, TakingITGlobal, and the Centre d'éducation mondiale, with financial backing from the Canadian government.
The Sea Dome's route schedule can be found on their website, where you can follow its adventures on Instagram @ourwebsiteseadome or by subscribing to their newsletter. The Dome de mer, a portable and inflatable structure six meters in diameter, projects 4K cinematographic sequences at 360 degrees, showcasing the links between ocean health, climate change, and daily life.
Marine artifacts accompanying the Sea Dome provide a hands-on learning experience, allowing observation of the impacts of Arctic sea ice melting, the effects of ocean acidification on tropical reefs, and learning to protect whale habitats in the St. Lawrence River.
The Sea Dome has already made a splash in Saguenay, where marine artifacts and the immersive projection were presented at various bilingual summer camps. In the coming weeks, the Dome de mer will participate in summer camps, community events, and festivals throughout the region.
From July 16 to 24, the Dome de mer will be in Tadoussac, where locals and passersby can find them at various community events. From July 25 to 29, the Sea Dome will be in Baie-Saint-Paul, with a community event facilitated and the camp of la Vallée welcoming their youth.
The end of July will be marked by the Festival Innu Nikamu! The Sea Dome is grateful for this invitation. From August 4 to 8, the Dome de mer will be in Victoriaville and Beauceville for day camps and community events. From August 12 to 19, the Sea Dome will return to Montreal and Laval at various summer camps.
The Sea Dome's summer adventure will conclude near Gatineau from August 20 to 21 in the Wakefield and Chelsea area, marking the end of its Quebec adventure. On July 15, Trois-Pistoles will be next at L'Escale Maritime for a community day, and on August 9, the municipalité de Piedmont will welcome a community day.

After completing its visit in Saguenay, the Dome de mer will travel to Trois-Pistoles on July 15 for a community day, offering a hands-on learning experience about ocean health and climate change. In August, the Sea Dome will touch base with the municipalité de Piedmont for another community day, striving to highlight the interconnectivity between daily life and the ocean's health. Additionally, home-and-garden enthusiasts can stay engaged by supporting initiatives that lower carbon footprints, contributing to a sustainable lifestyle.
