Behringer-Crawford set to honor 75 years on July 12 with a family-friendly event, featuring music, animals, and various entertainment.

The Behringer-Crawford Museum in Covington is set to host a special event on Saturday, July 12, from 4-6 p.m., marking the museum's 75th anniversary. This family-friendly celebration will be a fantastic opportunity to experience a variety of activities, entertainment, and hands-on experiences.

The event will feature games and activities suitable for all ages, including a Hillview Farm Animal Experience that allows visitors to get up close with various animals. There will also be music and animal-related activities, contributing to the community spirit of the celebration.

One of the highlights of the celebration is a live raptor encounter with "Kentucky" the Owl. Additionally, a streetcar named "Kentucky" from the BCM collection will be displayed outside the museum. For the younger visitors, an interactive vocal experience called the May Festival MiNiS is available, catering to children of all abilities.

Laurie Risch, BCM's Executive Director, stated that the event is a gift to the community, aiming to foster community spirit and engagement. In addition to the party, the museum is hosting an exhibit showcasing its impact on art, culture, and community.

After the party, there will be a Kentucky Symphony Orchestra's "Williams' Wondrous World" concert at the Devou Park Band Shell, featuring music from movies such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and more.

Visitors can explore the museum's exhibits for free during the Bash, making it an ideal opportunity to delve into Northern Kentucky's history and culture. Various community partners, including the Kenton County Public Library, Friends of Big Bone, Devou Park Trails, Devou Park Golf Course, Read Ready Covington, and the U.S. Playing Card Company, will offer free activities for the whole family.
