Bering Strait explorer B60 Cat steps into power-cat manufacturing industry
The Bering B60 Cat, a new addition to the Bering Yachts' portfolio, is set to revolutionise the power-cat market with its robust aluminum construction and impressive long-range capabilities. This all-aluminum explorer-cat yacht, designed for rough seas and extended voyages, is a testament to Bering's commitment to innovation and quality.
Measuring approximately 61ft 4in in length, the B60 Cat boasts a maximum beam of 28ft 3in, resulting in a beam to length ratio of 46%. This design ensures a stable and efficient cruising experience.
The yacht's interior is as impressive as its exterior. The five-cabin layout features a larger owner's cabin with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe in the port hull. All guest cabins, whether four, five, or six, are similar in size, offering comfort for extended trips. The stylish aft galley doubles as a bar for evening cocktails, while the dining area is forward and to starboard, with a door leading out to the foredeck lounge.
Bering has also revealed plans for an even more spectacular B80 Cat, but for now, the focus is on the B60 Cat. Owners can choose between a standard flybridge model, a tri-deck version, or a version with or without a hardtop for the flybridge model. The flybridge version of the B60 Cat has an enclosed volume of 110GT, while the three-deck model measures 121GT.
Tender storage can either be on a hydraulic stern platform or the flybridge. The B60 Cat's approximate full-load displacement is 63 tonnes. Range rather than speed is the priority, with a top speed of 12-13 knots. However, the 10,000-litre tanks should give a range of up to 3,000nm at ten knots, making trans-oceanic passages possible.
The B60 Cat's modern design includes reverse-bows, a raked-forward windscreen, and large hull windows. The main saloon has doors at both ends, linking the huge full-beam cockpit with the foredeck terrace for seamless flow between inside and outside spaces.
The first boat is scheduled for delivery next summer. For detailed technical specifications, such as length, beam, draft, fuel capacity, engines, speed, range, and luxury features, it is best to consult official Bering Yacht materials, the manufacturer’s website, or specific yacht broker listings.
