Tbilisoba 2025: A Celebration of Community and Culture in Tbilisi

Tbilisi, the vibrant capital of Georgia, is gearing up for its annual autumn festival, Tbilisoba, which will take place from September 20-21. This year's celebration promises to be a grand affair, with a diverse lineup of events and activities for all ages.

Mayor Kakha Kaladze has extended a warm invitation to citizens and guests alike, emphasizing the spirit of community that Tbilisoba embodies. "This is the day of our city," he said. "We look forward to celebrating together and sharing the diverse soul of Tbilisi."

The festivities will kick off at Rike Park and Orbeliani Square, the main festival venues. During the day, children can enjoy concerts, theatrical performances, and sports activities. As the sun sets, the park will transform into a hub of Georgian pop music, with performances by local artists.

Rike Park will also be the heart of the gastronomic and wine festivals, artisan fairs, attractions, and sports competitions. Visitors can witness traditional Georgian wrestling, krioba, chess, backgammon, table tennis, and mini-golf.

Orbeliani Square will host open-air cinema screenings, food stalls, artisan and sweets markets, women entrepreneurs' showcases, and a full lineup of children's and evening performances.

Italian Street, Giorgi Atoneli Street, and Anton Purtseladze Street will have separate stages for children's concerts, theatrical shows, and electronic music.

On September 20, at 8:00 p.m., a ceremony honouring Tbilisi's Honorary Citizens will take place, broadcast live. The following evening, at the same time, a gala concert titled "Everyone Sings for Tbilisi" will take place at Europe Square.

Tbilisoba is more than just a festival; it's a celebration of the city's rich history, culture, and community spirit. The event features themed decorations, large-scale installations, photo zones, and numerous opportunities to immerse oneself in the unique atmosphere of Tbilisi.

So, mark your calendars for September 20-21 and join the celebration of Tbilisoba 2025. It's a day not to be missed!
