Carnival festivities kick off at Cranger this weekend
The bustling town of Eickel is gearing up for the annual spectacle that is the Cranger Kirmes, with the much-anticipated parade set to take place on August 2, 2025.
Organisers have confirmed that the parade, which kicks off at St. Jörgen-Platz in Eickel at 10:30 AM, will feature an impressive 4,000 participants. These include people on festival floats, marching groups, and musical ensembles, promising a diverse and lively parade contingent.
The parade will cover a distance of 3.7 kilometers, proceeding along the main street towards the Cranger Kirmesplatz. Although the exact number of floats and separate marching or musical groups is not yet specified, the total participant count suggests a large and varied parade.
