Cardboard Workshop Weeks for Young People Kick Off at Kunst und Kultur Bastei

Young creatives aged 15-27 are invited to join the Cardboard Workshop Weeks for Young People, an exciting and educational event taking place at Harderbastei, Oberer Graben 55. This unique initiative, scheduled from August 18-22 and 25-29, offers a chance for young people to immerse themselves in creative, hands-on activities that encourage artistic expression, teamwork, and exploration of sustainable materials.

During these workshops, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with cardboard, a versatile and accessible medium for constructing art, models, and installations. By doing so, they will foster creativity and practical skills, learn techniques in cutting, assembling, and designing, and enhance fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and problem-solving abilities.

The Cardboard Workshop Weeks are more than just a creative outlet; they also aim to promote sustainability by utilizing cardboard, a recyclable and widely available material. This aspect raises awareness about environmental issues and sustainable practices in art and everyday life.

Moreover, these workshops foster community building and cultural engagement, connecting young people with the local cultural scene at Kunst und Kultur Bastei. The event serves as an important initiative to empower youth through creative education, environmental consciousness, and cultural involvement.

Participants can look forward to designing unique structures or artworks, thinking outside the box and promoting innovative thinking. The artworks created during the event will be presented in the youth exhibition OUT OF THE BOX in May 2026.

There is no need for registration, and the event is free for all eligible young people.
