Mark your calendars for the weekend of June 14th and 15th! The cultural square surrounding Büsing Palais will pulse with life as the city transforms into a bustling festival street. This year, over 96 Offenbach associations are joining forces to bring you culinary specialties, information stands, music, dance performances – a diverse spectacle that's a staple in Offenbach's event calendar.
Showcasing Community Gratitude
Mayor Dr. Felix Schwenke expresses heartfelt appreciation for the associative landscape of Offenbach. "Our city would be much less vibrant without these associations and the people involved" he said ahead of the event. The Mainuferfest not only attracts a large crowd but is also a testament to the recognition of volunteer work. Many participating associations have been contributing year after year – some since the very first edition.
A Culinary Odyssey around the World
The festival offers an exciting culinary tour down Mainstraße. Delight in Spanish paella, Turkish dumplings, Greek souvlaki, Portuguese cod, or Bohemian Liwanzen, reflecting the multicultural fabric of Offenbach. The gastronomic offer extends to classic sausages, cakes, coffee, and vegetarian specialties.
Music, Dance, and Interactive Offerings
The cultural spectacle doesn't end with food. Visitors can immerse themselves in a variety of performances, including dance acts by cultural associations adorned in traditional attire. On Saturday evening, the band "Just Dexter" is scheduled to transform the Büsingpalais courtyard into a party haven with rock covers. The Jazz e.V. will be hitting notes of jazz, swing, and blues in the Lilipark, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

Safety First
The security concept has been reinforced, according to organizers. More stringent access controls have been implemented, and the Mainstraße will be closed off more extensively than before, with the Schlossstraße remaining pedestrian-only.
