Central Germany's Largest Folk Festival Scheduled for 2025 at Eisleben's Wiese
The city of Eisleben in Germany is set to host the Eisleben Wiese Festival from September 19 to 22, 2025. This year's event promises an array of attractions, including a historical spectacle, a bustling farmers' market, and an entertainment mile that stretches over 4 km.
On September 19th, the opening ceremony on Eisleben market square at 1:30 PM recreates the handover of market rights from Emperor Charles V in 1521. The grand parade, featuring approximately 1,000 participants, begins at 2 PM, starting from the market square and passing through the Plan, the Lindenallee, and partly into the tent on the Wiese.
From September 20th, the Eisleben Wiese opens its doors at 10 AM. The main attraction, the Small Wiese with Farmers' Market, will offer a variety of regional products such as honey, sausage, fish, potatoes, fruit, pumpkins, baked goods, coffee, freshly baked stone oven bread, grilled food, herbs, juices, and jams. The Small Wiese will be open from 11 AM to 11 PM on September 27th and 28th, and from 3 PM to 11 PM on September 26th.
Over 300 businesses will form the entertainment mile on the Eisleben Wiese, with approximately 150 showmen and traders' businesses participating in the Small Wiese event. Visitors can enjoy 48 rides, including 7 making their Wiese debut in 2025.
On September 27th, Fireworker Mark Schmidt will present a laser, light & pyro show on the Small Wiese at 9 PM. The show promises a unique interplay of visual, optical, and acoustic elements, captivating the audience with technical surprises, pyrotechnical special effects, flame effects, and firework elements.
The Eisleben Wiese will close at 12 AM on September 22nd. However, the Small Wiese with Farmers' Market will continue until September 28th, offering visitors a final chance to enjoy the local produce and attractions.
Whether you're a history buff, a food enthusiast, or a thrill-seeker, the Eisleben Wiese Festival 2025 promises to offer something for everyone. Mark your calendars and get ready for a memorable four-day spectacle in Eisleben, Germany.
