Charitable Initiative "Christmas Wishes" Initiated by Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude Commences on First Advent

Grab Your Holiday Spirit: Get Involved with the "Christmas Wish" Action

As winter begins to bite and the festive cheer fills the air, it's time to lend a helping hand to the Evangelical Youth Welfare Friedenshort. Starting December 2, just after the 1st Advent, the Christmas trees in selected Sparkasse advisory centers will be adorned with the heartfelt wishes of children and young people.

Are you ready to be Santa's helper? From December 2 to December 13, both customers and non-customers can join in the fun. The "Christmas Wish" action is led by the Lions Club Buchholz-Nordheide, with the support of the Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude.

Kathrin Hampfe, specialist advisor and youth welfare Friedenshort coordinator, shares, "The kids have been bustling since the fall break to create their wish lists, and toys, puzzles, board games, and stuffed animals remain popular choices. However, they also ask for gift cards, video games, and phone cards."

So, what can you do to make one of the Friedenshort kids' dreams come true? It's simple! Choose a wish list from the Christmas trees at Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude in Buchholz, Jesteburg, or Tostedt. Buy the gift, wrap it, and return it to the Sparkasse branch by December 17. But remember, gifts should not exceed a value of 25 euros. To ensure your gift doesn't miss out on the joy, make sure to submit it on time.

The Evangelical Youth Welfare Friedenshort takes care of around 200 children and young people aged 4 to 27. They provide care at home, offer support in day groups, or provide a home in one of the supported living groups in Tostedt and the surrounding area.

Happy Holidays, and let's make this Christmas a memorable one for the children and young people at the Evangelical Youth Welfare Friedenshort!

  1. The "Christmas Wish" action invites individuals to contribute to the other lifestyle aspects of children served by the Evangelical Youth Welfare Friedenshort, such as home-and-garden items like gift cards, video games, and phone cards.
  2. To make this holiday season more delightful, you can consider extending your generosity beyond toys and games, and buy items such as gift cards that could be a part of a child's home-and-garden lifestyle wish list.
