Community Interaction with Traditional Education

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the city of Nordhorn will host a public dialogue event from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, located in the entrance area of the Old School at Schoolsteege 8. The topic of the event is the planned renovations to the Old School Bimolten and the surrounding open spaces.

The Old School Bimolten renovation project is part of the broader Verbundregion and is a significant step towards enhancing the educational facilities and living conditions of the rural population. This project is the second major communal project from Nordhorn in the Verbundregion, following the successful renovation of the Dorfgemeinschaftshaus Bookholt.

The event will feature project stands displaying planning concepts and drafts for the renovations of the Old School Bimolten. These drafts have been developed by the commissioned planning office and the municipal building authority, with the aim of improving the overall development and attractiveness of the rural region.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from the office and the city of Nordhorn, who will be present to answer questions and discuss the project. Representatives from the commissioned planning office and the municipal building authority will also be available for questions and discussions.

There will be a notice board where attendees can leave their wishes and suggestions for the Old School Bimolten renovation project. The city of Nordhorn aims to gather many ideas from interested citizens to refine the drafts for the project.

In addition to the Old School Bimolten project, an information stand will provide details about other projects in the Dorfentwicklung Nordhorn - Neuenhaus - Lage initiative. This planning and development program for the region invests in the sustainable development and attractiveness of villages in rural regions as living, educational, recreational, social, and cultural spaces.

Funding applications for the Old School Bimolten renovation project will be submitted, and the event offers a valuable opportunity for the community to learn more about the project and contribute to its development. The Old School Bimolten renovation project is outlined in the Dorfentwicklungsplan of the Dorfregion Nordhorn - Neuenhaus - Lage under project number P 10.5.

Join the city of Nordhorn on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, and help shape the future of the Old School Bimolten and the surrounding open spaces. Your ideas and suggestions are vital to the success of this educational project.
