Joining forces with Johannes Jugelt, the duo is planning a summer aid delivery that transcends mere charity. "It's not about bringing aid goods," explains Johannes. "We want to give hope to the people, and with two very specific projects."
Two teams from Uedem will venture to Uhlia in July, building the promised playground and organizing a four-day holiday camp modeled after Kleve's Kids Games. Roughly 20 volunteers, made up of students, retirees, and others, will embark on the mission, traveling by bus to make the dream a reality.
The ambitious initiative is supported by two Christian organizations: U4C, a Ukrainian aid organization, and the Free Evangelical Church Uedem in Germany. The U4C has already provided children in Ukraine with playmobiles and regular visits to orphanages in Uhlia, while the Free Evangelical Church Uedem's overseas aid provides crucial travel, planning, and coordination services for the project.
