Construction of the initial campus building, one of three, is being celebrated at North Park by FEIES.
FEIES GROUP Announces Two New Buildings and a Future-Oriented Vision
In a significant development, the FEIES GROUP, a renowned name in the construction industry, has announced plans to build two new buildings in the near future. The latest of these projects is the FEIES CAMPUS in Mönchengladbach, which signifies a future-oriented direction for both the FEIES GROUP and the construction industry in the Nordpark.
The FEIES GROUP, founded by Rudolf Feies, the father of the current owner, has been involved in various high-profile projects such as Düsseldorf Airport, Borussia Mönchengladbach's "8 Grad" hotel, the Düsseldorf state parliament, Unicef logistics center in Copenhagen, healthcare real estate, and large residential construction projects.
Joachim Feies, the owner of FEIES GROUP, attended the topping-out ceremony for the new building in Mönchengladbach. He emphasised the significance of the FEIES CAMPUS, not just for the FEIES GROUP but also for the location of Mönchengladbach. He stated that climate change presents complex questions about the future of living, the design of future buildings, and what is economically sensible.
The FEIES CAMPUS will be a modern office building, offering office spaces with the latest technology, spaces for exchange, learning, and meeting. The basic cuts of the office building are flexible, providing ample room for customisation.
In a shift from traditional methods, Joachim Feies believes that special tasks require the collective knowledge and exchange of many, indicating a move away from the traditional model of each company working independently. This vision is reflected in the FEIES CAMPUS, which aims to set a clear sign for the future, encompassing the FEIES GROUP, the construction industry, and the Nordpark.
Another notable tenant set to move into the FEIES CAMPUS is iLOQ, an expert for Smart-Lock locks. iLOQ has already installed more than 2,000 battery-free Smart Locks in the Borussia-Park, providing access to various areas with digital keys or smartphones. Dr. Ulrich Schückhaus, CEO of EWMG and WfMG, and Ralf Grewe, board member of the city's Sparkasse, were among the attendees of the topping-out ceremony. Sascha Hilgers, Managing Director Germany of iLOQ, signed the lease for their move during the ceremony.
One of iLOQ's customers is located 700 meters away from the FEIES CAMPUS, and they will be celebrating their move to the new premises in April. Architect Holger Hartmann announced that the crane will remain as a sign of continuous construction at the site.
The topping-out ceremony was also attended by Mayor Felix Heinrichs and Building Commissioner Claudia Schwan-Schmitz. Joachim Feies, in his speech, highlighted the importance of creating a network that will bundle and spread expertise for sustainable construction. He believes that the days of companies working like separate entities are over, indicating a shift towards collaboration and networking.
While the search results do not provide information about the name of the next tenant following the planned move into the FEIES CAMPUS, one thing is certain: the future of construction in Mönchengladbach and the Nordpark is looking bright and innovative.
