New Playground in Lippstadt's "Auf dem Rode" Development Seeks Name Suggestions
The Green and Meeting Space in Lippstadt's new development "Auf dem Rode" is set to open in October 2025, and the new playground at its centre is eagerly awaiting a name. The park, which will serve as a meeting point for all generations, offers a variety of facilities and activities for children and adults alike.
The park includes a rope course for older children to train their sense of height, trampolines, seesaws, and giant swings for movement fun, and a playhouse with a slide for younger children. Young footballers can show off their skills on a football field, and a sand pit with a small stream and weir provides opportunities for exploration and play.
For those who enjoy climbing and exploring, there is a hill with wooden elements. The park offers spacious areas for relaxation, picnicking, and play, making it a place for everyone.
The park's official opening is still scheduled for October 9, 2025, and the new playground will be officially named by Mayor Dr. Bernd Krüger on this day. Children are invited to submit creative, funny, interesting, and diverse name suggestions for the park by October 3, 2025. The best suggestion will be selected internally and awarded a small prize at the park's opening.
