In an exciting development for the food industry, Dozz is set to launch its innovative chilled, ready-to-eat soup in an aluminum can at the Lunch! show in London on 24-25 September 2025. This on-the-go solution promises to be fast, nutritious, and enjoyable for time-constrained, unique consumers who value convenience without compromising on taste or nutrition. The product, which will be available in a range of ten flavors, including some with meat and others plant-based, aims to meet consumer demand for convenient, waste-free, and sustainability-minded packaging. The chilled shelf life of the soup ranges from 4-8 months, depending on the recipe.

Visitors at the Lunch! show can view the can at stand L222 in the Innovation Gallery. The unique design eliminates the need for a bowl, microwave, or cutlery when consuming soup on the go. This makes it an ideal choice for busy individuals who value consumer reports on convenience without sacrificing taste or nutrition.

Ender Bolat, general manager at Dozz, expressed his excitement about the product, stating, "Our new soup product offers a unique sensory experience for consumers, providing a quick and enjoyable meal option for those who are always on the move."

The aluminum can design is not a new concept in the beverage industry. Asahi, for instance, has upgraded one of its beverage cans to use the release of carbon dioxide when opened to float real lemon slices to the surface of the drink. This design change provides a similar unique experience for consumers.

Metal Packaging Europe and European Aluminium have reported an increase in the total amount of aluminum recycled from cans, with the overall recycling rate for aluminum beverage cans in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland reaching 74.6%. Despite a 1% drop, the increased total amount of aluminum recycled from cans is still significant, with the total amount reaching a record level of 580,000 tonnes.

Interestingly, another company, Ponkotsu Foods, is also reportedly set to unveil a similar product in December 2025, with their refrigerator soup in an aluminum can. This development further underscores the growing trend towards convenient, sustainable, and waste-free food packaging solutions.

The new Dozz soup product is anticipated to provide flexibility for retailers and out-of-home outlets, having gained traction with several major European stores. The available flavors include Gazpacho, Mixed Vegetable, Yogurt and Mint, Tomato, Broccoli, Chicken, Chili Bean, Lentil, Mushroom, and Spinach.

As the launch date approaches, anticipation for Dozz's chilled, ready-to-eat soup in an aluminum can continues to grow. With its convenience, sustainability, and unique taste, this product is poised to revolutionise the way we consume soup.
