Yep, you read that right! Baden's regional bishop, Heike Springhart, from the Evangelical Church, has ridden a water roller coaster - the "Poseidon" at Europa-Park in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, to be exact! "I haven't dared to ride anything more thrilling yet," she admitted, recently attending an ecumenical service celebrating the 50th anniversary of the park.

Unleashing thrills and spills, the Poseidon combines the excitement of a roller coaster with a boat ride!

"I'm not against a challenge," she said on the sidelines of the event. "I believe people can push their limits and grow beyond themselves." This attitude is what Springhart embodies in everyday life, striving to find meaning and joy.

Adding a dash of excitement to the daily grind

Springhart appreciates amusement parks, regarding them as vital spaces to experience something beyond the ordinary. "It's not about escaping everyday life, but giving it an extra dose of excitement," she emphasized.

The Europa-Park reminds her of memories from her youth: "Many, like myself, confess to feeling like kids again when returning here," she said, in Rust during the service, shared with the Archbishop of Freiburg, Stephan Burger.

Springhart, inspired by her thrilling experience at Europa-Park, could envision creating a home-and-garden design inspired by her memories of the park, blending elements of imaginative storytelling, European cultures, and inclusive entertainment.
