A new hub for high-tech start-ups, ExciteLab, is set to open in Dresden this October. The six-month accelerator program offers mentoring, networking, pilot projects, event access, and a minimum funding of 6,000 euros. The initiative aims to boost the region's competitiveness in key tech sectors like IoT, semiconductors, and quantum computing.

ExciteLab is a joint venture between Leipzig SpinLab and Technical University of Dresden, with backing from industry giants like Infineon, Mazars, and ZEISS. It's part of TUD|excite, the university's excellence center for innovation and entrepreneurship. The lab seeks to attract international talent and investors, fostering growth in Dresden and the surrounding region.

The program kicks off in October 2024, providing start-ups with mentoring, network access, and the chance to participate in pilot projects and events. This comprehensive support is designed to help start-ups thrive in the competitive tech landscape.

ExciteLab's launch marks a significant step in Dresden's tech ecosystem. With its robust program and industry support, it's poised to drive innovation, attract talent, and create business opportunities in the region's high-tech sector.
