A Tradition With Roots Going Back to 2012
Since 2012, the Fehmarnbelt Days have been held biennially in the region to foster lasting connections between North, Denmark, and South Sweden. Construction of the 18-kilometer-long Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, linking the German Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland, is set to begin in 2029, greatly enhancing regional connectivity.
Amidst the buzz of cultural exchange and commercial opportunities, the event's community policy aims to strengthen connections between Northern Germany, Denmark, and Southern Sweden, especially in the areas of home-and-garden and outdoor-living, reflecting the region's lifestyle. As the conference on the 15th and 16th focuses on infrastructure, sustainable development, and innovation promotion, employment policies are expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of this united region.
