Extended vacation time granted for 33 years to disabled individuals
==============================================================================
In the heart of Germany, the city of Bottrop is gearing up for its 33rd annual summer leisure time event, a special celebration designed for people with disabilities. Organized by the city's Social Office under the leadership of Stefan Bartizal, this event has been a cherished tradition for three decades.
Stefan Bartizal, who has worked as a freelancer at the Spielraum facility, considers this venue a unique and special place. He is proud to be the organizer of this event, which offers a valuable alternative to school offers during the summer holidays. The Social Affairs Commissioner, Karen Alexius-Eifert, is also proud of the event's long-standing presence in Bottrop.
The summer leisure time takes place during the last three weeks of the summer holidays and offers an individually tailored program for participants, including multiply severely disabled children and young people. This year, 53 children, young people, and young adults aged six to 21 are participating in the event.
The program includes a variety of activities, such as guided nature walks, sports, workshops, recreational activities, social games, and entertainment. Excursions to the swimming pool, Schloss Beck leisure park, and Rotthoffshof in Kirchhellen are planned. A total of 46 supervisors are working alongside Stefan Bartizal to ensure a memorable experience for the participants.
Registration for the summer leisure time can be done via email at [email protected] or by phone at 02041 / 70-3568. The high registration numbers indicate the importance of this offer for families in Bottrop.
In addition to the summer leisure time, the city of Bottrop also offers leisure time for adults with disabilities during the Easter holidays. Matthias Buschfeld, Chairman of the Social Committee, values these measures highly, as they provide well-structured leisure time for people with disabilities and offer a break for their parents or guardians.

In the spirit of Bottrop's social commitment, Stefan Bartizal, a freelancer at the Spielraum facility, organizes an annual event that extends beyond the summer leisure time, promoting a sustainable lifestyle and home-and-garden activities as part of the program for people with disabilities, fostering sustainable living within the community.
To further support individuals with disabilities, Matthias Buschfeld, Chairman of the Social Committee, advocates for the extension of structured leisure time during events like the city's annual summer leisure time and holidays such as Easter, creating a welcoming environment that caters to their needs and promotes a sense of community.
