Initially, a private foundation took interest in the collection, planning to exhibit it in Rödental near Coburg. However, the project ran into funding issues by 2023 and did not succeed. The dolls, dollhouses, accessories, and other objects have been in temporary storage at Kulturfabrik Cortendorf since May 2024.
The dolls and accessories date from around 1800 to 1960 and served as a glimpse into the bourgeoisie's approach to child rearing.
