German Canary Breeders Showcase 300 Birds in Willich

The Deutsche Kanarien- und Vogelzüchterbund e.V. (German Canary and Bird Breeders Federation) is hosting its annual bird exhibition in Willich, featuring around 300 birds at Hoevels Nursery. The event, complemented by a bustling bird market, is the association's highlight of the year.

The exhibition showcases a variety of birds, with the most stunning ones receiving the prestigious Willich City Champion title. Apart from the exhibition, the bird club actively promotes local birdlife throughout the year. They maintain over 50 nesting boxes in different locations and organise winter feeding at Willich's cemeteries, in Anrath, and in Willich Park.

The bird club's dedication to bird protection, breeding, and propagation is evident in their annual exhibition and year-round activities. The event at Hoevels Nursery serves as a celebration of these efforts and a chance for the public to appreciate the beauty and diversity of birds.
