Get ready for a fun-filled day as the Senior Oktoberfest is coming to Gießen's Congress Hall on September 13th. This event, designed for senior women and men, promises a delightful afternoon of music, dance, and traditional German cuisine.

The presale for tickets will take place in two sessions. The first will be at Frau Naumann's office in the senior center (Room 132, 2nd floor) from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on September 9th. The second session will be held at Room 132, 2nd floor of the senior center on the same day. For those who miss the presale, tickets will also be available at the box office on the day of the event.

Tickets cost 8.00 €, including VAT, and include a variety of delicious treats such as pretzels and Obatzda during the break.

For any questions or further information, residents can contact the senior center at 0641 - 306 2062 or via email at seniorenbuero@giessen.de.

The event will kick off at 1:00 PM, with the program beginning at 2:00 PM. Alfons Dörr, a well-known musician from Gießen and the surrounding area, will host and musically accompany the event. The brass band BlechBRAND and the folk dance group SalzBöden will provide additional entertainment.

Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman has extended a warm invitation to Gießen residents aged 60 and above to attend the Oktoberfest. Unfortunately, the search results do not contain information about who issued the initial invitation to the event.

So, mark your calendars for September 13th, and join us at the Congress Hall for a day of camaraderie, music, and traditional German food at the Senior Oktoberfest!
