Hallockville Museum Farm Country Fair occurring on September 27 and 28, 2025, the 44th edition
The 44th Annual Hallockville Country Fair is set to take place on September 27 and September 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead, NY. This much-anticipated event is a celebration of Long Island's farming heritage and a chance for the community to connect with its roots.
Hallockville Museum Farm, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Long Island's farming heritage. Established by the local farming community, the farmstead is listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.
The fair promises a fun-filled weekend with historical tours, traditional skills demonstrations, and folk arts demonstrations such as colonial cooking, bread baking, basket weaving, and wood carving. Visitors can also enjoy a marketplace of baked goods, crafts, and handmade wares, live music, and a variety of food and adult beverage trucks.
For the young ones, there will be old-fashioned children's activities, a children's train ride, wagon rides, pony rides, and a children's petting zoo. The fair will also feature a jam, potato, and pumpkin contest, and a goat-on-a-boat puppet-making workshop (only on Saturday).
One of the highlights of the fair is Picasso the Painting Dog and a beekeeping demonstration, which will take place only on Sunday. Additionally, a free concert by the No Doubt world Famous Monday Night Band (weather dependent) will occur on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Glass Pumpkin Patch, featuring works by Adirondack Glassblowing Studio, will be available for sale at the fair. A portion of the proceeds from the Glass Pumpkin Patch will benefit Hallockville Museum Farm.
Admission to the Country Fair will be $12 for persons ages 12 and older; $10 for seniors, veterans, and active military members; $8 for children ages 5 - 12; and children ages 1 - 4 are free. Admission will be half-price on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
