Harburg Shooting Guild's Carp Fish Event Marks Absence of Long-Serving King Azzou

The annual carp fish eating event of the Harburg shooting guild took place recently, but it was marked by the absence of its longest-serving post-war king, Borhen Azzou, due to work commitments. Azzou's reign, which lasted from 2019 to 2023, was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event, which was canceled for three consecutive years due to the pandemic, saw only one picture hung - that of Peter Kreitmayer, who was king in 2012/2013. Kreitmayer, now referred to as the 'king of kings', had no issues with the situation and attended the event with his wife. Meanwhile, the current king, Jörg Martin, known as 'der Vollender' or 'Our Majesty', has invited everyone to the King's Ball in January 2025.

Borhen Azzou's absence was notable at the carp fish eating event, but the guild continues to look forward, with Peter Kreitmayer's reign and Jörg Martin's upcoming King's Ball marking the guild's resilience and continuity.
