Iconic '90s BBC sitcom residence up for sale at £337,000; do you recall its familiar appearance?

Step into the world of TV nostalgia as a iconic abode from the beloved 90s BBC sitcom, One Foot in the Grave, is up for grabs!

Curious fans can now acquire this three-bedroom gem, listed at £337,500. The property, located at 4 Tresillian Way, Walkford, Christchurch, Dorset, attracted a lot of attention during the show due to its roles as the exterior of Victor and Margaret Meldrew's home.

Fond memories of the classic British comedy will be rekindled remembering the funny mishaps outside the house, like the erroneous garden gnome delivery and the peculiar Citroen 2CV seemingly residing in a skip!

Estate agent Ben Jenkins believes the property's prestigious past will bring in some "interest" from potential buyers, as it was the setting for the beloved comedy series.

Jenkins isn't far off as One Foot in the Grave chronicles the adventures of grumpy pensioner Victor Meldrew, played by Richard Wilson, and his long-suffering wife, Margaret, portrayed by Annette Crosbie.

Even today, enthusiasts still visit the house for a selfie or two, reflecting the lingering charm of the show.

The house next door was where Victor's arch-nemesis, Patrick, resided, portrayed by Angus Deayton. The sitcom ran for six series and seven Christmas specials.

Although the location was not explicitly mentioned in the show, many location scenes were shot around Christchurch and Bournemouth.

The interior of the house was not part of the show, with internal scenes being filmed at BBC Television Centre in London.

This well-kept property offers 920 sq ft of living space, including a hallway, lounge, kitchen/diner, conservatory, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. Externally, the house comes complete with a private garden and a nearby garage.

The current owners have managed the property as a rental and now plan to sell it with vacant possession. The house is being marketed by local estate agents Mitchells, who describe it as an "attractive house in a beautiful and quiet location."

Mr. Jenkins, from Mitchells, expressed that, "the show will always drum up a bit of interest," and that it attracted a lot of attention during its previous sale ten years ago.

While the target audience for such a purchase may lean towards nostalgic fans, Mr. Jenkins also sees it as a promising buy-to-let investment.
