In the charming town of Neuwied, a notable event is set to take place on October 4th, at Luisenplatz – the "Notinsel Action Day". This day is open to all, regardless of age, with the primary goal of ensuring that children in Neuwied feel secure not just on paper, but in their daily lives.

The "Notinsel" Project, spearheaded by the German Children's Protection Foundation "Hänsel + Gretel", aims to provide secure havens for children facing challenging situations. Many local businesses in Neuwied have joined this cause, easily recognizable by a sticker bearing the Notinsel emblem.

Staff present in participating establishments will be ready to lend a helping hand. They can assist with phone calls, contact parents, or even involve the authorities if necessary. The Notinsel Project serves as a first point of contact for children in need.

The event promises to be a vibrant family affair, filled with activities such as a flash mob, face painting, a button-making workshop, a clown visit, and a discovery tour. Participants can complete tasks throughout the day to win prizes ranging from children's birthday parties to tickets for various attractions.

Aghid Almasalmeh, chairman of the Neuwied Youth Council, emphasized that the "Notinsels" send a clear signal of safety for children in Neuwied. The German Children's Protection Foundation, Deichstadtfriends, Princess zu Wied, and patron Herbert Woidtke are among those who back this project.

The discovery tour invites young girls and boys to learn more about Notinsels. Participation forms are available at the info stand on Luisenplatz, in Neuwied schools, and can be requested via email at [email protected].

The "Notinsel Action Day" in Neuwied is more than just an event; it's a day dedicated to the safety and well-being of the town's children. So, mark your calendars for October 4th, and join in the celebration of a safer Neuwied.
