Insights direct from the heart of nature's domain
In the heart of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Squelette Design has crafted a tranquil retreat that embodies a unique design philosophy. The 1,000 sq ft sanctuary home is more than just a place of rest; it integrates elements that foster tranquility and connection with nature, promoting well-being and harmony.
The home's architecture serves as a frame for living with intention, with skylit gardens and open-air shower courts emphasizing a blend of indoor and outdoor living. Co-Founders and Principal Architects, Saumil Patel and Prashant Trivedi, worked with Akshar Landscape Architects (ALA) for landscape design and Setu Infrastructure for structure design to create this serene haven.
Key features of this sanctuary home include skylit gardens that allow natural light to permeate the interiors, creating a calm, uplifting atmosphere. Open-air shower courts bring an element of nature inside, enhancing the sense of privacy and relaxation. The home's design also incorporates a striking swimming pool, a yoga deck cantilevered over a lake, and a meditation pavilion, providing a variety of spaces for relaxation and reflection.
The home's architecture is part of its design to evoke daily rituals, such as early morning yoga and late-afternoon play of light. It is intended to slow down, instill stillness, and centre the occupants, offering a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The home's design interweaves cultural storytelling and personal elements, making it not just functional but deeply meaningful. The use of natural light and open spaces maximizes the feeling of openness while maintaining intimacy in private areas.
Overall, the home reflects a contemporary aesthetic united with traditional and cultural influences, offering a tranquil retreat that balances modern luxury and personal storytelling. This sanctuary home in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a testament to Squelette Design's commitment to creating spaces that foster peace, tranquility, and connection with nature.
