World Children's Day Festival in Wiesbaden

Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 17, 2023, as the World Children's Day Festival is coming to Schlossplatz, Wiesbaden! This exciting event, running from 13:00 to 18:00, is a fantastic opportunity for families to spend a memorable day with the city's children and exchange ideas about the importance of children's rights.

Organised by the youth department of the Social Affairs Office, the World Children's Day Festival aims to celebrate the rights of children together. This year's motto is "Make children's rights known and celebrate the children of our city".

The festival will feature various organisations and initiatives, each providing information and celebrations to make the day even more enjoyable. The castle square will transform into a joyful playground, filled with activities and entertainment for both children and adults.

Dr. Patricia Becher, the Social Affairs Commissioner, will welcome participating children and families at approximately 15:00 from the stage. The stage program will focus on the importance of children's rights, with performances and speeches highlighting the theme for World Children's Day in 2023: "Every child needs a future!".

Admission to the World Children's Day Festival is free, and more information about actions for World Children's Day can be found on the Wiesbaden.de website. You can also download the World Children's Day flyer from a specific link.
