Kids' flea market to launch on Sunday in Kelheim

Young entrepreneurs will display their treasures along Donaustraße in Kelheim, Germany, as part of an open shopping Sunday event on June 1, 2025. The initiative originates from Peggy Schumann, owner of the business "Naturally Unpacked," and is organized in collaboration with Future Kelheim e.V.

Between 12 and 17 hours, around 20 children's stands will line Donaustraße. Children aged 4 to 14 are invited to sell toys, books, or clothing at the event.

In addition to the children's market, families can partake in activities organized by SpiWo, such as face painting and craft activities. Several shops in the old town and throughout the city will also remain open, offering a relaxed stroll for visitors.

Children who register late can still participate by contacting Peggy Schumann via email at [email protected] or visiting the "Naturally Unpacked" store, Donaustraße 1, by Monday, May 26, 2025. There will be no charges for stand rental, but participants must bring their own tables, pavilions, and other required equipment. Children under 12 are only allowed to participate when accompanied by an adult.

To accommodate the event, Donaustraße will be temporarily closed to traffic from 8 to 19 hours on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Parking will not be permitted during this period, and residents are advised to park their vehicles outside the closed area in advance.
