Krasnodar Territory Russia Day Celebrations: Exploring the Festivities

Celebrating Russia Day in Style: A Glimpse into Kuban's Grand Show

Kuban residents pulled out all the stops to honor Russia Day this year! The Main City Square of Krasnodar witnessed a grand spectacle as a towering 42-meter tall Russian flag was hoisted high. A special military operation participant, alongside Post No. 1 representatives, escorted the humongous 10x15 meter flag, making the moment incredibly symbolic.

Federico Geraschenko, the head of the regional branch of the People's Front in Krasnodar Krai, praised the event, remarking, "The flag is still waving, it's just amazing, beautiful, and physically exhilarating."

The Russian tricolor didn't just grace the skies. Channel "Kuban 24" correspondent Daniil Beskrovny reported an impressive 8x2.5 meter live flower composition made of a staggering 10,000 roses. This annual tradition saw a map of Russia and the tricolor installed previously.

The vibrant celebrations didn't stop at Krasnodar. Novorossiysk, the city-hero, was a beacon of festivities. The traditional Russia, Kuban, and Novorossiysk flags were hoisted aboard the cruiser "Mikhail Kutuzov," followed by a powerful artillery salute.

In a solemn atmosphere, young Novorossiyts received their passports, a precious confirmation of their newfound citizenship. Victoria Metlyakova, a student at Gymnasium No. 5 named after V.A. Golikova in Novorossiysk, expressed her joy, saying, "It's a significant day to receive such an essential document."

Victoria Mryhina, another student, shared her thoughts, "This is a crucial date for me, and I am being granted an essential document - my passport, a confirmation that I am a citizen of this country."

Even Sochi joined in the jubilation, with holiday auto rallies bringing a cheerful vibe to the resort city.
