Photographer Danny Rauh Captures Stunning Images of Ghostbusters' Ecto-1 Replica in Memmingen

Danny Rauh, a Memmingen-based photographer, has caused a stir on social media with his recent photographs of a faithful replica of the iconic Ecto-1 car from the movie "Ghostbusters - Die Geisterjaeger" (1984).

Rauh's passion for classic cars and old films led him to capture these unique images. He drove into the city at 10 pm to take advantage of the opportunity to photograph the classic car, which was located in front of the bridal boutique Eden in the city center.

Rauh's fondness for classic cars is well-known, having attended several meetings and taken cool photos. His appreciation for old films is equally evident, as he watches them three times a year and enjoys the music from these classic movies.

The photographer was particularly pleased with the backdrop for the photos, as it included the lighting, street lamps, and surroundings of the city center. The photos show the typical roof structures, flashing lights, and logo of the Ecto-1 car, making for a striking contrast against the night-time cityscape.

Rauh was inspired to take these photos when a friend told him about the location of the classic car in the Memminger city center. He specializes in family photos as a side job, but his passion for unique and interesting subjects led him to this exciting opportunity.

It was later revealed that the owner of the renovated Ecto-1 vehicle in Markt Rettenbach is Stephan Kobler. Rauh had initially heard from an acquaintance that the classic car belonged to a Carmax in Markt Rettenbach.

Interestingly, the original Ecto-1 car from the first two Ghostbusters films is located in Hollywood at Sony Pictures Studios. However, Rauh's photographs of the faithful replica have certainly brought a piece of the Ghostbusters universe to Memmingen.

Rauh uploaded his photos of the Ecto-1 car to the Facebook page "Memmingen and surroundings through the ages", where they have received much praise and admiration from the community. It's clear that Rauh's passion for classic cars and old films has resulted in a series of stunning photographs that will be cherished by fans of the Ghostbusters franchise and Memmingen locals alike.
