Lake Como, the cradle of Italy's La Dolce Vita charm, played host to one of the most stylish automotive events in recent years: the Fuori Concorso in Como. Founded by fashion mogul Guglielmo Miani, this event has become a must-visit for auto aficionados worldwide. Nestled in the idyllic, time-honored gardens surrounding villas del Grumello and Sucota, this year's event showcased an extraordinary collection of Italian racing cars under the theme "Velocissimo."
Revisiting Italian Racing Legends
The stunning display featured an unparalleled lineup of Italian racing legends, from Formula 1 contenders to iconic rally cars, classic racing classics, and contemporary supercars. These vehicles hailed from revered Italian cities such as Turin, Modena, and Maranello, with racing histories spanning legendary circuits like Monza and the Mille Miglia.
Standout Italian Racing Cars
Among the highlights of the 2025 Fuori Concorso were the Maserati MC12 GT1, known for its FIA GT Championship victories; the Maserati 420M/58 Eldorado, designed for the Indianapolis 500 in 1958; the modern Maserati GT2 Stradale and track-only MCXtrema; the iconic Ferrari 750 Monza, a 1950s sports racer, and the latest endurance racer, the Ferrari 499P Le Mans Hypercar, which was crowned victorious at Le Mans.
Visitors also marveled at the famed Ferrari 250 GTO, one of the most highly coveted and celebrated Ferraris ever built, and the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Zagato, P2, and GTA 1300 Junior, all illustrating Alfa Romeo's racing pedigree. The recently introduced Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a modern reimagining of the classic, with 620 horsepower, and the Alfa Romeo Tipo 159, the Formula 1 car that Juan Manuel Fangio piloted to the 1951 World Championship, were also on display.
Italian Motorsports at its Finest
Completing the roster were the legendary Lancia D24 and LC1 Martini Racing cars, representing the pinnacle of Lancia's rally and endurance racing heritage, as well as the modern Italian track weapon, the Pagani Imola, boasting an impressive 827-horsepower V12 engine.
The Fuori Concorso event offered guests a one-of-a-kind opportunity to witness the breadth and depth of Italy's motorsport history in a stunning setting overlooking Lake Como.
