Mars Wrigley Brings Back Classic Chewing Gums This Autumn

Mars Wrigley is set to release classic chewing gums Wrigley's Spearmint, Doublemint, and Big Red in a limited edition this autumn. The reissue comes in response to a survey revealing Germans' fondness for retro products.

The survey, conducted by Mars Wrigley, found that 86% of Germans want brands to reissue classic products more often. It also showed that 78% have bought gums, snacks, or drinks that reminded them of 'the good old days'.

The re-release is particularly timely as the survey revealed that people mainly associate 'retro' with the 1970s (40%) and 1980s (45%).

Notably, Wrigley's Spearmint is the most well-known past Mars Wrigley gum product, with 67% of respondents recognising it. The gums will be packaged as modern-day gum drops instead of traditional strips.

The limited edition gums will be available from October to the end of November 2025, or while supplies last. Mars Wrigley aims to cater to the nostalgia market, with many Germans eager to revisit classic flavours.
