Mirrored Surfaces Transform Kitchens, Creating Spacious, Inviting Spaces

Mirrored surfaces are transforming kitchens, making them appear larger and more inviting. From Vienna to Paris and San Sebastián, designers are embracing this trend to create striking, reflective spaces.

In Vienna, a 60 square meter apartment features a mirrored backsplash behind the kitchen shelf boards. This reflects the living room's colors and light, making the kitchen line and the entire room feel more spacious.

Mirrors aren't just for dressing rooms or bedrooms. A large mirror surface in a kitchen can create a similar effect. This trend has been popular for some time, offering a transformative impact on any space.

In Paris, a mini-apartment uses fully mirrored upper cabinets combined with okoumé wood. This simple yet inviting look reflects daylight, creating brightness and the illusion of more space.

JMLC Studio in Paris took this trend to the next level. They used antique mirror plates around a kitchen island, creating a luxurious and artistic effect that reflects the floor's geometric optics.

Across the border in San Sebastián, an architect used fully mirrored kitchen fronts in an 80-square-meter vacation home. This makes the kitchen almost invisible, reflecting daylight and blending seamlessly with the colorful, open living area.

The Kazakh interior studio Sdelaemremont added a touch of eccentricity to an apartment with a kitchen entirely clad in gold-glistening mirrors. Meanwhile, a 42 square meter Parisian apartment uses a mirrored cube to structure the space and create a visual highlight with the mirrored kitchen.

Reflective surfaces in the kitchen, particularly in small apartments, offer numerous benefits. They create more space, reflect daylight, and are incredibly versatile, fitting any style. From Vienna to Kazakhstan, designers are harnessing the power of mirrors to transform kitchens into stunning, light-filled spaces.
