New Abs Workout by Elise Young: 15-Minute Core Strengthener

The author has discovered a new abs workout, developed by Elise Young of Elise's Bodyshop, that targets the abs and strengthens the core. The 15-minute session, performed on a yoga mat, consists of four challenging yet beneficial moves for the muscular system.

The workout, which the author found to be particularly challenging, includes the push-up drive, bear tap, push plank tap, and side plank. Each exercise is performed for 35 seconds, followed by a 25-second rest, with the circuit repeated four times for a total of 16 minutes. The author appreciated the absence of traditional abs exercises like crunches, sit-ups, or Russian twists.

Despite the intensity, the author enjoyed the best workout routine and plans to incorporate it into their core-strengthening routine. Elise Young recommends using the Manduka PRO Yoga Mat for support during the exercises. The author also prepared for muscle recovery by having a protein shake, as the workout may cause delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
