What awaits kids in Hünxe tomorrow? What should their beloved village look like? These aren't just idle questions, but the driving force behind a riveting painting competition. Hünxe mayoral candidate Jan Scholte-Reh invites all local kiddos to embark on a creative journey with the tagline "Tomorrow's Hünxe, Painted with Passion".
It's all happening in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hünxe's municipal reorganization in 1975. Scholte-Reh believes this milestone is the perfect moment to put the younger generation in the limelight. "I dream of Hünxe becoming a shining beacon of child-friendliness in the Wesel district," he shares. His vision is built upon three main pillars: Visibility & Participation, Infrastructure & Living Spaces, and Education & Inclusion. That's not all, folks! The painting competition serves as a fun, creative platform for the kids. Children from Hünxe can paint their hearts out on an A4 sheet, letting their imagination run wild. Remember, it's not about critiquing but providing a space for self-expression.
Submissions can be sent via post or email by July 3, 2025.
