Paws in the Park Returns Oct. 12: A Free Festival for Animals & Their Fans
Mark your calendars for Sunday, Oct. 12, as Paws in the Park, a fall festival celebrating animals, returns to Oronoco Bay Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This free event, benefiting the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, promises a fun-filled day for humans and their leashed, well-behaved pets.
The festival features a variety of activities and attractions. The Silent Auction Tent offers unique experiences and items for bidding, while the Family Fun Tent keeps all ages entertained with arts, crafts, and activities.
Local artisans, nonprofits, animal-focused businesses, and food and beverage vendors will be present, providing ample shopping and dining opportunities. The Main stage entertainment includes bilingual musical act 123 Andrés and a Pet Costume Contest, ensuring a lively atmosphere.
Rescue Row showcases adoptable animals from local animal welfare organizations and rescues, giving attendees the chance to meet and potentially bring home a new furry friend. The first 1,000 attendees will receive a swag bag, filled with goodies to kickstart their festival experience.
Paws in the Park is more than just a fun day out; it's a celebration of animals and a chance to support the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. With its diverse offerings, from unique auctions to pet adoptions and live music, there's something for everyone at this year's festival.
