Publishers Offer Tomich Participants at "TOM III" Festival 5 Tons of Books
Livin' Large at TOM III: Over 5 Tonnes of Books Await You in Tomsk's Festival of Arts and Literature!
Get ready, bookworms! Tomsk is set to host TOM III, a celebration of art and literature, from the 15th to the 18th of May, 2025. And if the books are what tickle your fancy, prepare yourself for a literary extravaganza—they're expecting a whopping 5 tonnes of them!
The main book fair will be held at the central square, right in front of the main building of Tomsk State University (TGU). Nearly 30 publishers from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Tomsk, and other cities are expected to attend and showcase their wares.
Publishers from other cities are planning to transport over 4 tonnes of books to the TOM III book fair. Add that to the offerings from Tomsk's local publishers, and we're talking (roughly) 5 tonnes of books for your perusal!
According to a press service representative, this isn't just a repeat of past years. Many "new" publishers will be joining the festival, including the "Ivan Limbakh Publishing House"... In the past, this publisher has released works by forgotten poets of the Silver Age and figures from the "second culture": Mikhail Bezrodny, Leonid Girshteyn, Timur Kibirov, Lev Rubinshtein, Dmitry Prigov, among others.
things get even better! The festival's website is now accepting registration for events. Each event is free, but the number of spots is limited.
So, mark your calendars, bibliophiles! Tomsk, 2025 is gonna be a literary love fest you won't want to miss! For more information on the specific books, authors, or events planned for the festival, be sure to check out their official website or social media channels. Happy reading!
