New Café "Lilo" to Open in Volksgarten, Düsseldorf
After a period of renovations, the café located at Emmastraße 36a in Volksgarten, Düsseldorf, is set to reopen its doors on April 26, 2023. The Florabar, previously occupying the space, has been renamed to "Lilo" by its new operator, Aenna Jumpertz.
The renovation of "Lilo" cost 103,000 euros and was funded by the budget of District Council 3. The café now boasts a kiosk, restrooms, and versatile outdoor seating, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for its patrons.
The new lease for "Lilo" allows for smaller cultural events, which Aenna Jumpertz aims to utilise to transform "Lilo" into a new, vibrant meeting point for Volksgarten. The café will offer delicious coffee, cold drinks, and light snacks to its guests.
The opening hours for "Lilo" are Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 9 pm, and Sunday, 9 am to 8 pm. The café is closed on Mondays. From 2 pm onwards, music will be played at the reopening of "Lilo".
District Mayor Dietmar Wolf will give a welcoming speech at the reopening of "Lilo" on April 26. The event will start at 11 am, and from 2 pm onwards, "Lilo" will celebrate its reopening with music and guests.
The reopening of "Lilo" has been eagerly awaited by many, and the café's fresh approach reflects a refined culinary experience focused on regional and seasonal products with an emphasis on sustainability. Aenna Jumpertz has taken great care to refine the interior design of "Lilo", creating a welcoming and modern space for the community to enjoy.
