Sony India Transforms 'Cinema at Home' with the Debut of New BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 Soundbars
Sony's BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 Bring Cinematic Audio Home
Starting from 1st July 2025, Sony is set to revolutionize home entertainment with the launch of its BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6. The System 6 will be available for INR 49,990, while the Bar 6 will retail at INR 39,990.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 is a 5.1 channel system with a total output of about 1000W, featuring a soundbar, a wireless subwoofer with a high-performance driver and passive radiator, and two rear surround speakers. On the other hand, the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is a 3.1.2 channel soundbar system, equipped with two up-firing speakers for overhead sound and a wireless subwoofer.
Both devices leverage Sony's advanced audio technologies to deliver immersive, cinematic soundscapes. The Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround technologies create a virtual surround sound field, placing audio around and above the listener without requiring dedicated rear or ceiling speakers. This simulates a three-dimensional cinematic sound environment, enhancing immersion while keeping setup simple and space uncluttered.
The up-firing speakers in the Bar 6 send sound reflecting off the ceiling to reproduce overhead sound effects typical of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X experiences. The systems also include Sound Upmixer technology to convert even stereo content into a wider 3D soundscape.
Both systems fully support the latest immersive audio formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, delivering multi-dimensional spatial audio with sounds coming from all directions, including overhead. This accurately reproduces movie soundtracks as intended by the directors.
Additional features include dedicated subwoofers (wireless in Bar 6) for punchy, deep bass, Voice Zoom 3 technology for clear dialogue, Night Mode for comfortable late-night listening, and screen reader support for visually impaired users.
When paired with a BRAVIA TV, both systems offer integrated control, allowing sound field adjustments and volume to be managed via a single remote or the Bravia Connect app for convenience. The Bravia Connect app also allows users to adjust volume and settings for both the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 without the need for a remote or on-screen menu.
Both the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 are eco-friendly, using recycled fabric from PET bottles for their material. Tactile dots on the units indicate the eARC HDMI terminal for connecting to a TV.
The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 and Bar 6 will be available from 1st July 2025 onwards across various retail stores and e-commerce portals in India.
