Summer Sustainability Initiative: Green Local Association Encourages Community to Reuse and Mend through Knitting Events
On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, the local Green Party branch, Saarbrücken-Mitte, invites residents of all ages to an interactive sustainability event at Alvenslebensstraße, 66117 Saarbrücken. The event, taking place in the Alt-Saarbrücker Sommerstraße area, features two activities: a Repair Café and a Climate Scarf knitting project.
At the Repair Café, a mobile workshop by the Verein Weltveränderer e.V., experienced volunteers will be on hand to help participants fix everyday items such as hair dryers, malfunctioning phones, or broken toys.
