The doc first made its grand entrance on July 15, 1955, in the charming city of Kassel. This groundbreaking exhibition has been a vital part of the contemporary art scene ever since, happening every five years and lasting a whopping 100 days each time! The 16th edition, documenta 16, is planned for June 12 to September 19, 2027. Get ready to be blown away, because it's going to be curated by the incredible Naomi Beckwith, deputy director and chief curator of the New York Guggenheim Museum!
