The Expansion of Wheelzia

Congratulations to the mystery student from either Massachusetts or Long Island, who has earned the title of Crusader of the Week! This week's honouree is an average Holy Cross student from the classes of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028, majoring in a double major in Burnout and Overcommitment with a Minor in Gifted Kid Studies.

Meanwhile, the College of the Holy Cross campus is buzzing with excitement as the residence hall known as "The Wheelhouse," Wheeler Hall, is at the centre of a unique tradition. The secret language, known as Wheelzian, has been embraced by the residents as a way to bond and avoid parental concerns about their growing social life.

The origins of Wheelzian remain a mystery, even to the College administration, who are as intrigued as the residents of nearby Easy Street. The residents continue to celebrate their friendship and fun, radiating excitement and spreading joy within their community. However, some students who feel left out have expressed frustration about the secret language, feeling that it is not fair that they cannot understand it.

Despite the secrecy, Wheeler Hall has a reputation for being a special residence hall with a unique and strong community. This year, the residents have made efforts to preserve their exclusivity to protect their community and traditions. One such effort was a proposed plan to ensure activities for Wheeler Hall stay within Wheeler Hall, including locking the doors on weekends, checking student IDs and residences, and creating a secret language.

Elsewhere on campus, the Healy Haunted House, hosted by Healy Hall Council, captured the Halloween spirit with eerie decorations on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The event was a success, providing a fun and spooky atmosphere for students to enjoy.

The renaming ceremony of Ciampi Hall to Ciampi-Condron Hall took place on September 7, 2024, during a special ceremony attended by various members of the Holy Cross community, including members of the Board of Trustees, several college deans, President Rougeau, and alumni Bob Cousy. In conclusion, while the College of the Holy Cross and the residents of envious Easy Street are left wondering about Wheelzian, the residents of Wheeler Hall continue to enjoy their unique bond and traditions. As for the Crusader of the Week, you're the one making a difference on campus, so keep up the great work!
