Get ready for some frosty fun at the revamped Uralmash Park! This summer, preparations are underway to transform the park, and come winter, an ice skating rink will take center stage—right next to the Ferris wheel—spanning a generous 1000 square meters. This scoop comes directly from Pavel Zubaikin, the park's director, during a meet-up with city duma deputies.
At present, the park's renovation is well on its way, standing at around the halfway mark. With more than 160 million rubles from the budget already invested, the park has seen a slew of upgrades already, including a brand-new kids' playground, near 100 renovated lighting poles, and approximately 50 refurbished benches. The walking paths have been updated, and notification and video surveillance systems have been installed as well.
On the horizon for Uralmash Park's visitors in the coming years are an exercise area, an amphitheater for lectures and performances, and a year-round functioning restroom. Keep an eye out for these additions!
