Wuppertal's Axis Bids Adieu in Initial Swansong Performance

The Model Building Association, located at Goethe Street 42, has announced its imminent departure following the reported vacating of its premises. Established in 2002, the association has embarked on an elaborate 1:87 scale reconstruction of the Talachse from the 1930s.

The exhibition, open Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm, invites visitors to explore the fascinating world of model-making. Alongside a free guided tour, guests can immerse themselves in railway film presentations that recreate the former Rhine line, now known as the Nordbahntrasse.

Stephan Volter, chairman of the Wuppertal-Achse association, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming Day of Industrial Culture on the association's final display day at Vohwinkel. Despite impending relocation, discussions about a potential new location are underway, though no formal agreements have been reached as of yet.

As the association prepares to pack up, members look forward to welcoming a crowd on this significant day, marking the end of an era. This news follows months of speculation about the association's relocation plans, but the details surrounding their move remain uncertain.

The Model Building Association, currently in the process of finding a new location, invites visitors to tour their home-and-garden themed exhibition, showcasing the 1:87 scale reconstruction of the Talachse from the 1930s, as a part of their light-filled lifestyle experience. Amidst the end of their time at Goethe Street 42, enthusiasts anticipate the Day of Industrial Culture on the closing display day at Vohwinkel, where the association hopes to welcome a large crowd to celebrate the end of an era.
